Tuesday, February 17, 2009

Hi - I should have listed some of my new items tonight but I had more items turn up again today so had extra photos to take, then this evening it took rather a long time to make Jacob an 8th Birthday card - especially when Joshua got involved ( it is Big Thunder Mountain Themed!) I will add the photo tomorrow! He will LOVE IT!!! Then I had to wrap up his Birthday Presents too!!! Harry is a little poorly with a bit of a cold so he has been a bit miserable today and demanding all of my attention - and with the boys off because it is half term - it takes twice as long to do anything around here !!! Hopefully list the new items tomorrow - then have a big tidy up ready for the relatives to descend on us on Thursday!!! xxx

Newly Listed Items

Hi - I have been busy today listing new items in my store - details are on my front page. I have loaded some of the photos into my Facebook so that you can see at a glance the new bits and bobs. Hopefully at the end of the month my store will be updated with new levels of categories so that I can have a newly listed category as well as listing in the relevant theme - at the moment I can only list an item in 1 category. Never mind! I have tons and tons of new stuff coming in the next 2 weeks! Can't wait to show you all ...

"c) Hidden journalling- The middle strip opens up (magnets attached to mickey head) to reveal more photos and hidden journalling on reverse of Mickey head"

"d) Sparkle - Paper is embossed so has glossy impressions on it, also i used bazzil bling for the micky mouse head"

Thanks again Becky - and Good Luck! xx

This is Becky's Layout which opens out to cleverly reveal lots of photos with the Characters at their Breakfast in Cafe Mickey's - They look like they are having so much fun!

MY TEMPTING TREATS!!

This is my layout for my February Challenge - "Tempting Treats!" This is to show you some extra examples to give you some inspiration! Please also scroll down for my " Casey's Corner" layout too...
I had a lot of trouble with the colours for this! I was originally going for a black and royal blue theme to match the T Shirts but it just didnt seem right. My 9 year old helped me with this and we realised that the colours we unintentionally chose represented Chocolate, Strawberry and Vanilla ice-cream! Yum Yum! Sometimes things just dont turn out how you originally plan them in your head!
I used a piece of pink Sleeping Beauty Capture the Magic paper, some shimmery brown and cream card that I had, a pack of Ice cream themed stickers from Paperhouse - with no outlines - they look lovely I think! Some ribbon, prima flowers and brads that I had in my stash!
I used a Mickey brad for my Mickey ear element, Pixie dust sparkle was added using stickles ( like liquid pearls ) and as for the hidden journalling - well you will have to scroll down the page to see that!
This shows what is hidden under my photos! I mounted the original photos onto these cards that open out to show my hidden journalling and more photos. A great way to add more dimension and extra photos to your layouts if you are a bit short of space!
This is the right side of my fold out, The journalling tells how we had a car crash and wrote our car off the day before we had our ice creams! We needed them the next day to cheer ourselves up!
This is the left side of the fold out part to my Layout. I used photos of them taken on their very first day on their very first visit to WDW! We had to have chocolate muffins for breakfast of course! I used some more of the Ice Cream Stickers.

Snow!!!

Well - we had quite a bit of snow yesterday and today - so we have been out playing in it! I built a snowman - with the help of the boys and we all went out for a long walk in the snow. The boys were disappointed that their school wasn't closed but we did pick them up early so all was not lost! Luckily I managed to get to the post office before our main snowfall late morning / this afternoon so if I am snowed in tomorrow - at least your orders will be on their way to you ( hopefully!) xxx
